Visa Appointment Tomorrow!

Hello Everyone,

Our day started out with a great church service - fantastic worship as always! Then we head back to the hotel. The "introduction" ceremony for the owners daughter was today...actually still going on. When we left for church at 10:15 many folks were already arriving and it is now almost 9:00 here and the party is in full motion. The music is so loud that sleep will not be an option, even with the help of a sleeping pill until it is over, which I have no idea when that will be. No noise ordinances here. :) Many of the guests are staying in the hotel as well so lots of commotion in the hallway. I think we are the only non-party people staying at the hotel at the moment.

We were invited to attend and when we got back from church at 1:30 were told lunch would soon be served and to go ahead and find seats. We did and three hours later had "lunch." African timing is so different than what we are used to in America. Fiona feel asleep on me and we finally went back up to the room. Soon after we did, lunch was served, so we went back down. It is interesting to see all the traditions associated with the ceremony, but we can't understand a word being said! :) There were hours of speeches and presentations of gifts from the grooms family to the brides...now they are dancing and partying until the wee hours of the night I am sure.

So, tomorrow is the big day - our visa appointment is at 2:00 p.m. This will include lots of paperwork, which we have already turned in, but will need to be reviewed, and will also include an orphan investigation, which Scovia will testify on the girls behalf. We have to make a quick trip to the Embassy in the morning to turn in our passports for the girls since the office was already closed when we got them on Friday afternoon.

Please keep us in your prayers at 2:00 tomorrow (7:00 a.m. for you Hoosiers). This is the final step to us getting home. I feel good about it and know that God will be there with us. He has brought us so far and accomplished so much for us, its been the journey of a lifetime to say the least!

My family is just a little excited to finally meet this little girl in person after all these months! So happy that we will soon be home and can start our lives with our new addition. Fiona is very anxious to see Daddy again and finally meet her big brother! It is going to be fun to finally share her with everyone.
