Please Join Us!

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to share with you all that we will be hosting a Ugandan Dinner/Fundraiser for our family as well as the Grahams for our next upcoming trip to Uganda, hopefully in early September to finalize our adoptions! We will be serving a traditional Ugandan meal, and will be showing you a photo introduction to the country and it's people. African purses, handcrafted African jewelry and more will be for sale following the dinner.

We are excited to share a bit of Uganda with you all and hope you can join us!

When: Saturday, July 31 at 6:00 p.m.
Where: Harris Prairie Church of Christ, State Road 23 in Granger

Donations of $10 per adult and $5 per child are appreciated. :)

The Starfish Story - By Loren Eisley

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.

Appoaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?" The boy replied, "Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die." "Son," the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish. You can't make a difference!"

After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the ocean. Then, smiling at the man, he said... "I made a difference for that one."
