Bringing Fiona Home: Day 8

Day 8

Hello Family and Friends,

Today started out with a trip to church to see several children's choirs from around Uganda perform at Gaba Community Church. It was so interesting to see all the costumes and dances. We got some great video footage to share with you once we are home!

Fiona and Rachael then came back here for lunch and Fiona and I ended up taking a long nap. She was her happy little self today. I winked at her a few days ago and she liked it, so she enjoyed winking at us a lot today. We are calling her our little jumping bean as she just bounces around wherever she goes.

Tomorrow we will go to the clinic for the TB test reading. This weekend will be a long weekend of waiting, but we will just enjoy the girls company.

We did get an email containing some information the USCIS is requesting, most of which can be provided once the court documents are complete. We have a couple of items we need to follow up on though and will need Peter's help on. At least we know what we are looking for though.

Your continued prayers are so appreciated! We love you and miss you more than you know. Please pray for God's continuing work her on the behalf of these precious girls.

Sounds like it was an enjoyable and restful day, which I imagine was a good break from yesterday's activities! I'm planning to be at mom's to skype with you and Dave tomorrow. See you then! :-)

I can't wait to see all of the video footage you're taking. I am so relieved that there has been more progress with all of your paperwork too! We miss you too but it no time at all you'll be back home with your beautiful little girl! LOVE YOU :)

The Starfish Story - By Loren Eisley

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.

Appoaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?" The boy replied, "Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die." "Son," the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish. You can't make a difference!"

After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the ocean. Then, smiling at the man, he said... "I made a difference for that one."
