We Have Our Written Ruling!

Hi Everyone,

Today we spent all day in Kampala trying to get things going on passports and visas. I am happy to say that all passport documents have been turned into the passport office and we have our WRITTEN AND SIGNED RULING from the judge!!! It was very exciting to be able to see it in writing with the judges signature and official court seal! We hurried into Kampala and spent most of our day waiting, but that is just fine. At the end of the day we got what we wanted. :)

We had also hoped to make it to the Embassy today. But about an hour before it closed there was a huge downpour and we got stuck in traffic because of flooded intersections. We felt a bit like we were on an episode of the Amazing Race trying to beat the clock. :) It was kind of crazy to see how flooded the roads got in such a sort period of time. People were walking in knee deep water in areas.

So, we plan to get up bright and early to be there when they open in the morning to drop off the rest of our paperwork and schedule our visa appointment. God has really been making our path straight during our trip this time. Little snags come up now and then that cause us to worry about getting the rest of this done here, but we are turning each thing over to God as it comes along. He's doing a great job, so we'll just let Him be in charge! :)

Racheal and Fiona were such troopers today. So patient and quiet as we sat and did a lot of waiting and spent a lot of time in the car. Mama Scovia and the rest of the family here have done an amazing job with these girls! They are so well behaved!

We ended our day at Quality Hill, which is a little coffee shop that is a favorite destination of ours. Godfrey, Livingstone, Rachelle and I had lattes and the girls had tea and hot chocolate and we also had some chocolate pastries that are delicious! Livingstone had his first latte on our first trip here and he loves them. Godfrey had his first one on Friday and is also becoming addicted. We had some great conversation about some work that Godfrey is doing in a nearby village.

I know I have mentioned it before, but Godfrey is so much more than a driver for us. He has been an amazing friend and is a wealth of knowledge. He has a huge heart for the families that come here to adopt wanting to see each of them succeed and he has a huge heart for the children of Uganda and their needs. And, Livingstone...he would do anything for us here and for these girls to see them come home with us and be happy. Simply amazing! I believe God has put both of these individuals in our lives as well as the others we have come to know so well here for a purpose.

I can't end a post without thanking you all for your prayers. I feel like a broken record sometimes, but want you all to know how grateful we are for them!!!!!
