Big Brother

Birthday Wishes Come True!

Fiona's Big Brother Tyler turned 11 yesterday and his birthday wish came true! Tyler asked to go to the Bears Expo in Chicago at Soldier Field for his birthday and was lucky enough to meet Brian Urlacher and get an autograph from him. For those that don't know, this is Tyler most favorite player...Tyler's bedroom is decorated in Chicago Bears colors with posters of the Bears, Brain Urlacher and a life size Fathead (which is a vinyl wallpaper like thing you adhere to a wall) of Brian Urlacher.

We are in waiting mode here. Hopefully our certificate will come soon from our fingerprints last week!

The Starfish Story - By Loren Eisley

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.

Appoaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?" The boy replied, "Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die." "Son," the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish. You can't make a difference!"

After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the ocean. Then, smiling at the man, he said... "I made a difference for that one."
